May 24, 2015 Update. New pics in Gallery ** Our mission to North Fort Payne and Henagar is a "go". Materials for both projects will be onsite when we arrive.

James 2: 16-17

And one of you says to them "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. NKJV.

Mission Statement

The Cherokee Baptist Association (AL) Carpenters for Christ exists for on-mission Christians to demonstrate their faith through work and service in assisting churches to build new buildings that will further the Kingdom of God and for the salvation of souls.
Carpenters for Christ is a non-denominational, nonprofit, volunteer organization composed of Christian men and women who volunteer their time and talents in the construction of facilities used for worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Some are called to go, some are called to give, all are called to pray.

Thursday April 9th Carpenters for Christ from Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, Kentucky and Indiana began construction of Welcome View Church in Henegar, Alabama. The project included verical wall construction setting the trusses, decking, and shingle roofing on a 3000 square foot new building. Also included in the project was the construction of interrior walls, stage area, bathrooms, educational rooms and fellowship hall. Meals were furnished by Kenny and the kitchen crew from the kitchen at Minvale Family Life Center who always do an excellent job. Thanks to the church for the deserts and the excellent hospitality and all who traveled great distances to complete the mission. Current plans are for our return to this location on June 7th to do completion work plus another local Fort Payne, Alabama small project.
