James 2: 16-17

And one of you says to them "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. NKJV.

Mission Statement

The Cherokee Baptist Association (AL) Carpenters for Christ exists for on-mission Christians to demonstrate their faith through work and service in assisting churches to build new buildings that will further the Kingdom of God and for the salvation of souls.
Carpenters for Christ is a non-denominational, nonprofit, volunteer organization composed of Christian men and women who volunteer their time and talents in the construction of facilities used for worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Some are called to go, some are called to give, all are called to pray.

Friday November 20, 2014 Carpenters for Christ from Alabama, Tennessee, and Indiana began work on a small roofing project for Temple Church of God in Christ in Parsons, Tennessee. The project included setting the trusses, decking, and metal roofing on a 30 by 120 foot addition to the existing new building. Also included in the project was the construction of interrior walls around the concrete block walls and a divider wall for the kitchen area. With the help of a local contractor who furnished a crane and loader/lift equipment the work was completed by noon on Saturday November 22. Meals were furnished by Kenny and the kitchen crew from the church kitchen who always do an excellent job. Thanks to the church for the deserts and the excellent hospitality and all who traveled great distances to complete the mission. Thanks also for all those who couldn't make the trip but prayed for us as we worked and traveled and thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who provided moderate temperatures and abundant sunshine so we could accomplish His will for this fellowship.
